The Teacher
We were born for infinite happiness
Yeah, we’re children of the sun
Yet we run and hide
From the piercing morning light
We’re always on the run
Come awake, desire for the greater good
’Cause we’ve been way off course
Like a child who stays
On perfect sunny days
Locked at play indoors
Feel the light of Eden
In this long repose
Make friends out of your foes
You will learn to need them
In this deep respite
Every wrong will be made right
And angels made from demons
Let time redress
All the madness, the muck, and the mess
And the past becomes a reverse mirage
Never what it seems
What was desert sand
There’s none of it that can’t
Break forth in flowing streams
So come, my brothers and sisters, come
It’s time to end the fast
Come and dine with me
Drink the milk and honey
The feast begins at last
Feel the light of Eden
In this long repose
Make friends out of your foes
You will learn to need them
In this deep respite
Every wrong will be made right
And angels made from demons
Let time redress
All the madness, the muck, and the mess
Well, they say that life is a paradise
For those with eyes to see
Every single soul
That’s longing to be whole
Will find eternity

Kind of a joyful funky vibe to this one. It dances and shines with a barely contained exuberance. The musicianship on every song is impeccable, but this one has a little extra something. Great songs, great players. And Gwen Owen’s backing-vocals are a delight.
Haha now "All the madness, the muck and the mess" is stuck in my head :)
